     This is am amazing situation.  Let me see if even I can explain it.  This is an HMA Pastor, a Saving Place worker and a homeless outreach client (volunteer), loading donated mattresses onto a donated bus, to be delivered to a convert that got an apartment through our HMA outreach program in Tulsa, Oklahoma that is sponsored at least in part by Bethany Holiness Church.  Not only is that a mounthful and not only does that take a little thinking to grasp all that is really going on but it is also making a real difference in the lives of the hurting and helpless, in the lives of the addicted and self inflicted and in the eternities of many involved; volunteer, client, worker and minister alike.  God bless HMA!  If you feel the tug at your heart to partner with us you can give here online, you can pray right where you are or you can contact us for more information by clicking on our website.

"I AM A CHRISTIAN"

When I say..."I am a Christian", I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin";

I'm wispering "I was lost, now I'm found and I'm forgiven".

When I say..."I am a Christian", I don't speak of this with pride;

I'm confessing that I stumble and I need Christ to be my guide.

When I say..."I am a Christian", I'm not trying to be strong;

I'm proffessing that I'm weak and need HIS stregth to carry on.

When I say..."I am a Christian", I'm not bragging of success;

I'm admitting that I failed and needed God to clean up my mess.

When I say..."I am a Christian", I'm not claiming to be perfect;

My flaws are too visible, but The Lord believes I'm worth it.

When I say..."I am a Christian", I still feel the sting of pain;

I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.

When I say..."I am a Christian", I'm not just holier than thou;

I'm just a simple sinner who recieved God's grace somehow.
